Group Leader : Hazel Francis

The art history and appreciation group meet once a month at the Leader's home in Leigh-0n-Sea. Currently there is room for about 3 more members.  

We usually choose an artist each to research, taken from roughly the same time period and present as a short, illustrated talk.  At the last meeting we looked at the work and biography of Frida Kahlo, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol while at our next meeting we are looking at animals in art as themed sessions make a nice change from the studies of individual artists.  The pictures shown are a reference to these meetings.  I must emphasise that anyone interested in joining us to enjoy art but are not keen on the research part would also be welcome to just come and listen - and look of course!
